Philip Campbell Design
Serving a diverse range of clients for over 20 years, Phil Campbell works in all areas of graphic design with particular emphasis on book design and other print projects. Phil’s publishing work is mostly in the area of non-fiction, designing covers as well as illustrated titles for many of Australia’s top publishing companies. He regularly features in the ABDA book design awards. He likes to work on projects that are ‘a force for good’ and in line with this, much of his non-publishing work is for not-for-profit organisations. He has also designed identities for several wine bars – another force for good!
Phil Campbell
As well as establishing a freelance graphic design consultancy, Phil has lectured part-time in publications design for RMIT and enjoyed mentoring young designers for several years under the AGDA Mentorship Program. Previous roles have included (most recently) as a graphic designer for Emery Vincent Design (now emerystudio), where he worked on a range of projects including; corporate publications and annual reports, advertisements, corporate identity and signage. Phil previously worked in magazine design with the Text Media Company and as an in-house publications designer with the Port of Melbourne Authority.
Out of hours Phil likes to add to his collection of 1960s Polish movie posters and play drums in the alt-country band Blackbirds FC.
